Ron Betts
CSIA Level IV, ACA Level III (Performance Level), Canadian Ski Guide Association – Fully Certified, CSIA Level IV Course Conductor
Ron discovered his passion for skiing at Ski Ben Eoin, on Cape Breton Island in the 1980’s. Since then, he has coached, guided, and taught skiing in Canada, Australia, and Europe. Currently, Ron is the Technical Director at Sun Peaks Resort, in Kamloops BC and a part-time guide for Kingfisher Heliskiing. When he’s not sliding on snow, you can either find him hanging off a rope building ziplines, suspension bridges and aerial parks or surfing at his favourite Nova Scotia beaches.
Since 2012, he has been a regular contributing writer at Ski Canada Magazine.
To say Ron is passionate about mountain experiences would be an understatement. He is happiest when he gets to share those experiences with others. Whether that’s helping people improve their skiing or swapping stories in the bar after a great day on snow, Ron is always up for making new friends and new memories.
