Rob Chadwick

CSIA Level IV, CSIA Course Conductor, ACA Level III, NCCP Level III, CASI Level I

Rob started skiing at Sunshine Village at the age of 3 and he has never stopped. Rob’s love of skiing has taken him far and wide - from Ontario to Nova Scotia to Banff where he was the founder and director of the Banff Caribou Ski School, co-technical director at Banff Club Ski, a CSIA Ambassador Ski Team member and a ski tester for Ski Canada Magazine. To Japan, where he was a selected competitor for the Inawashiro Technical Ski competition. He was also a co-Ski School Director at the Broken River Ski Club in New Zealand. Then he was off to California where he worked for several years as a software developer in Silicon Valley, merrily spending his weekends skiing his little butt off fifteen footers into hip-high pow and shredding the knar at Squaw and Alpine Meadows with a motley crew of expat Canadian powder hounds. Now happily back in Nova Scotia, Rob is an active Dad, CSIA course conductor and U10 performance race coach. Rob manages to stay sane by walking his double doodle, washing the dishes, playing with his kids and spending quality Costco time with his loving wife. He spends the offseason mountain biking, lifting weights, sailboat racing, writing haiku and napping. Rob is always seeking to ski efficiently and better understand the newest technology that is under his old flat feet.
